The event was officiated by YB Dr. Aliakbar Gulasan, Chairman of KMI Tawau and attended by government agencies and corporate clients around Tawau as well as senior management of TDM Berhad and KMI Healthcare.
The acquisition of Tawau Specialist Hospital was completed in May 2022, and has been rebranded to KMI Tawau Medical Centre. Following the acquisition, the development of another 5-storey building will increase the bed capacity to 59 beds, which will be ready in Q4 2024. Before the acquisition, KMI has been managing the operation of the hospital since January 2018.
